The St. Joseph's University (L.I.) women's lacrosse team picked up their fourth-straight Skyline Conference win with a 19-14 victory at SUNY Maritime on Wednesday evening,

Freshman Kaitlyn Ippolito finished with five points on four goals and an assist with three ground balls and a team-best six draw controls

Senior Emily O'Mara also recorded five points with two goals and three assists with a game-high seven caused turnovers

How it happened:

O'Mara, Trowbridge, and Ippolito all scored in the opening frame, but the Privateers held a slight 4-3 lead at the horn

Maritime started the second quarter with four unanswered goals going ahead 8-3 before Trowbridge dished to senior Kayleigh Mimnaugh at the 9:22 mark. The hosts scored one more time before Mimnaugh's second goal of the quarter and took a 9-5 advantage into halftime

The Privateers scored first in the third, but SJLI's Julianna Gentile sparked a 7-0 run capped by a goal from Doyle in the closing seconds sending the Golden Eagles into the final frame ahead 12-10

Three different Golden Eagles found the back of the net to start the fourth quarter, 15-10, but the Privateers answered with four straight goals in a three-minute span to inch within one, 15-14

St. Joseph's went on to put the game out of reach with four goals down the stretch to secure the 19-14 win
