How it happened:

• The Golden Eagles took command of the game early, scoring the first three goals of the game 
• St. Joseph's would hold a three-goal advantage over Ramapo until 5:38 in the first quarter when the Roadrunners netted their first goal and later led to two others where they tied the game at three 
• As the second period started with the game tied at four, both teams traded goals as the game remained even at six with 9:10 left to play in the half
• A goal from Lange cut the Roadrunner's lead to just one (8-7) with 1:41 left in the half before a free-position goal from Whitney extended Ramapo's lead 9-7 to end the half
• Ramapo would build their lead to as much as four goals (13-9) with 6:05 left to play in the third before the Golden Eagles went on a four-scoring run to tie the game at 13 with just three seconds left in the third quarter
• Ramapo scored the only two goals in the fourth quarter to secure the victory over SJLI
