How it happened:

• The Gators found the back of the net first as they scored the first two goals of the game before Owenburg netted SJLI's first goal on a man-up opportunity to make it a 2-1 game with 10:47 left in the first quarter
• Sage would score six unanswered goals before Stubba netted the second goal for St. Joseph's with just over a minute left in the opening quarter
• Sage answered back by scoring 10 straight goals and holding SJLI off the scoreboard in the second quarter as the first half closed with the Gators ahead 18-2
• Owenburg ended the scoring drought for the Golden Eagles in the early minutes of the second half, scoring another on a man-up opportunity off the feed from Henderson to make the score 19-3 with 9:55 left in the third quarter
• In the final nine minutes of the third quarter, Sage scored another four goals to build their lead up to 20 as they entered the final frame
• The Gators scored the first goal of the final quarter before Herrera and Stubba added to the Golden Eagles' score as Sage secured the 24-5 victory
