How it happened:

• After seven minutes of action and neither team able to find the back of the net, SJLI struck first with Lange scoring the first goal of the game on a free-position shot 
• The Golden Eagles would score two goals in the final five minutes of play in the first quarter, with Gentile and Julia Stolba each netting one, as SJLI held MSMC scoreless to start the game with a 3-0 lead
• Mt. St. Mary's put an end to SJLI's scoring run with the first goal of the second quarter at the 10:39 mark
• Ippolito responded with a goal of her own off the assist from Gentile as both teams traded goals in the final minutes of the first half, as the half came to an end with St. Joseph's ahead by two (5-3)
• SJLI opened the second half with a goal from Stolba in the first 40 seconds of play, as Emily Grace Passaro found the back of the net three minutes later to give St. Joseph's a four-goal advantage 
• The Knights would score just 30 seconds after Passaro's goal before the Golden Eagles ended the quarter scoring five straight unanswered goals, claiming an eight-goal lead heading into the fourth quarter (12-4)
• MSMC looked to mount a comeback as they scored the first two goals of the final quarter, as they trailed 12-6 with just 8:20 left in the game
• The Knights scored their third straight while holding St. Joseph's scoreless in the final quarter with just 1:58 left on the clock
• St. Joseph's would close the game with a goal from Andreas with just one second left in the game as the Golden Eagles secured the victory
